The second annual Mindful Eating Film Festival and Expo debuts at the Marin Civic Center on April 26th for a full day of thought-provoking documentaries, engaging panels, inspiring speakers, and, of course, the TASTIEST in local, plant-based nourishment! The MEFF inquires into the problems created by our modern agricultural system, and encourages participants to consider how our consumer and dietary choices impact the planet, our health, and the animals with whom we share this planet.
Meander through the Exhibit Hall and Fairgrounds to discover our selection of ethical, eco-conscious, and health-focused vendors, sit down for one (or all!) of our showcase films, which will be followed by panels of leading activists, filmmakers, and moderator Miyoko Schinner of Miyoko's Creamery, and connect with like-minded non-profits and individuals.
Produced by Marin County's only non-profit farmed animal sanctuary, Rancho Compasión, this exciting event will raise funds for over 80 rescued residents at the sanctuary, as well as promote initiatives for humane educational programs in the Bay Area. This unique festival is expected to receive a tremendous turnout of over a thousand visitors!
With the option to purchase the movie tickets individually at an affordable rate, or a day pass, this event is flexible to both curious and committed attendees. Tickets will be available beginning March 1st, so please check back then. Seating for the film viewings will be limited, so it is important to purchase your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets may be available at the door, but are not guaranteed. Parking at the Marin Civic Center Fairgrounds is ample and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
