In his morning session Andrew, drawing on his new book Radical Regeneration, will expand on his vision of our contemporary global dark night being potentially the birth canal of a new embodied divine humanity. He will show how accepting the rigors of the dark night and understanding its five essential laws that he has derived from his own experience and that of great mystics like Jesus and Rumi, can not only transform us but transfigure us: heart, mind, soul, and body. Drawing on great mystical teachings from all the religions, he will show how the greatest light is born out of the deepest darkness and that our time, frightening though it is, is a divinely ordained initiation to help us birth and co-create with God a holy new way of being and doing everything.
In the afternoon session, he will offer two major practices that help us connect directly with the birthing force of the divine- the Name of God and a tantric Hindu Golden Light practice that connects us to the Mother’s power in such a way that she transfigures us. He will give teachings on how sacred activism, aligned with the evolutionary transfiguration process, offers us a radiant path through the dangers of our time and makes us humble empowered warrior midwives of the new human.
Andrew Harvey is an internationally acclaimed writer, poet, translator and mystical teacher. He is the author of over 40 books, including Son of Man, The Hope, Way of Passion, Turn Me to Gold and Savage Grace with Carolyn Baker. He has taught all over the world and given over 20 courses for the Shift Network.
Andrew Harvey is Founder & Director of the Institute for Sacred Activism, an international organization focused on inviting concerned people to take up the challenge of our contemporary global crises by becoming inspired, effective, and practical agents of institutional and systemic change, in order to create peace and sustainability. Andrew has since lived in London, Paris, New York, and San Francisco, and has continued to study a variety of religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity. He has written and edited over 40 books. Other honors he has received include the Benjamin Franklin Award and the Mind Body Spirit Award (both for Mary’s Vineyard: Daily Readings, Meditations, and Revelations). Among Harvey’s other well-known titles are Dialogues with a Modern Mystic, Hidden Journey, The Essential Mystics, The Return of the Mother, and The Direct Path.
