Come and get your Jollies on St Patrick's Day by LAUGHING with your community! Swami Beyondananda brings his laugh-filled cosmic comedy to show to The Temple on Pleasant Hill. Swami’s performance has been described both as “comedy disguised as wisdom,” and “wisdom disguised as comedy.” Which is it? Go see him, and then you decide.
In addition to espousing a new non-religion called FUNdamentalism (accent on “fun”), and a political movement called the Right to Laugh Party (“one big party, everyone is invited”), the Swami, whose favorite yoga pose is tongue-in-cheek, also channels Elvis and Bulwinkle.
Show starts at 8 PM. But come for Community Hour to celebrate St. Patrick's day between 7 PM- 8 PM!
Swami Beyondananda is the cosmic comic alter ego of writer, humorist, performer and uncommontator Steve Bhaerman. His comedy is intended to heal the heart and free the mind, to offer incisive insights into inconvenient truths (and convenient lies), and to do so through the eye of love. And the best way to begin is with a good belly laugh … dozens of them, available on Saturday night courtesy of the Swami.
Joining the Swami is Scott Grace. Scott has been described as a cross between John Denver, Robin Williams and Dr. Seuss. Contact with Scott is likely to be hazardous to your misery, as he has provoked outbreaks of joy in four out of five laboratory humans tested.
Scott has recorded nine CD’s, a DVD of his original music and comedy and is the author of Teach Me How to Love A True Story that Touches Hearts & Helps with the Laundry! He has shared the comedy stage with Dana Carvey and Robin Williams.
If you love to laugh—or, if you need to—don’t miss the opportunity to get struck by enlightening and laugh till the sacred.
