Presented by The Narrative Enneagram
Deepening Spiritual Awareness is focused on the transformative potential of your own type structure for higher levels of being. Our format blends the profound somatic practice of grounded presence with contemplative methods for emptying and focusing the mind.
These “skillful means” build an inner capacity to recognize and relax emotional passions as they arise – thus “converting vice to virtue” – the pure life force that sustains us. These spiritual activities will be debriefed from different type perspectives through panel interviews in the Narrative Tradition, short didactics, inner practices, somatic exercises and small groups.

Helen Palmer, co-founder of the Enneagram Professional Training Program (EPTP) and a Core Faculty member of The Narrative Enneagram (TNE), is an international bestselling author and a teacher of psychology and intuition. Her authorship is a continuing success with The Enneagram and The Enneagram in Love and Work, now in 28 languages. This work was featured in a documentary aired on PBS, Breaking Out of the Box: Discovering the Enneagram. For her current distance learning programs, visit www.enneagram.com. Helen co-founded the EPTP with David Daniels, MD in 1988. Their early collaborations met a pressing need for quality education following publication of Helen's first Enneagram book. Each founder brought a wealth of prior experience to the curriculum: Helen as an academic psychologist and practicing intuitive, and David as a practicing psychiatrist and Stanford professor.
Terry Saracino, MA, MBA, a Core Faculty member of TNE, has taught the Enneagram for 25 years to individuals and organizations throughout the United States and internationally as a tool for personal, professional and spiritual growth. When she was introduced to the Enneagram in 1989, she knew instantly that she had found her life’s work, and it has been her passion ever since. Committed to the transformative power of the Enneagram, Terry founded the nonprofit Enneagram Studies in the Narrative Tradition (ESNT) in 2009 (now TNE) and served as its President through 2014. Terry develops and teaches the EPTP curriculum, conducts other Enneagram workshops, has written articles and presented her work at numerous Enneagram conferences.
Through training programs grounded in the Narrative Tradition, which integrate spirituality, psychology and somatics, TNE is accomplishing its mission of transforming lives and creating a more compassionate world.
